Boru's Harp

High energy, Celtic influenced music means this band will get a party started. They have been playing the Kingston Brewing Company (the Brew Pub) St. Patrick's Day party since 1998 except for 2006 when they did a crazy 14 hour tour of Royal Oaks in Ottawa.

The band has had the pleasure of many exceptional musicians over the years. Brian and Robb MacKay (bodhran/singer/ranter) are two of the original members.

It's still too early to say what this band will be. It's repertoire is made up of Brian's original songs (old and new) as well as original twists on covers.

So far it's a bit funk, a bit folk, a bit rock, a bit country; from Ben Harper, to the Beatles, to John Denver, to Leonard Cohen. No matter the influence or the style, the band is all about the groove.
